Alexander Burkes is a thin man with a thin face, brown eyes and brown hair. He is not impressively tall. When naked, he is not impressive at all. Which is why he tries his best to spend as little time as possible naked. He is rich, however. Well, his family is. That's impressive.
History:
Born into a pureblood family, Alexander is the second child of four siblings (Ingrid's younger, third child). He attented Hogwarts in his youth, having been sorted into Gryffindor by some sort of mistake. Not particularly noteworthy in his academics, Alexander showed an early inclination in business. While still in school he made many useful connections, even meeting another boy with his interests, his future business partner, Borgin. Both boys agreed that the future lay in the past-- historical artifacts, magical trinkets from foreign lands. What they need, they said, was a business. Buy cheap and sell exorbitantly high. Two things to keep the business running: 1. Be the best in the market. 2. Eliminate rival businesses. To start a business, they needed capital. Most of the capital was borrowed from Ingrid Burkes, who insisted in being a third-party co-owner of Borgin and Burkes (the name Borgin, Burkes, and Burkes was rejected because it made them sound like a law firm. And they hate lawyers.).
Personality:
Alexander is no honest businessman. He wants to get rich and get richer. He will try to squeeze out every coin from customers and is not hindered by words like 'ethics' or 'social responsibility'. He is slimy, crude, and a fast talker. He does not care about blood politics as long as money is concerned. He thinks Ingrid should get married soon so he she could stop bullying him about the shop.
